A New Chapter in My Career: Embracing Change with Mixed Emotions

After working in the Flight Preparation Section for three years, I found out last Thursday, on March 13th, 2025, that I will be moving to the Ware Wash Section. I wasn’t given a clear timeline, and the reason they gave me felt a bit unclear. It sounded like they needed me to fill a gap because someone they were hiring couldn’t join.

As I listened, I had questions in my mind. I wondered why this move was happening now and why me, but I didn’t ask. After being in this industry for almost 30 years, I know that sometimes changes happen because of business needs. Still, knowing how things sometimes work around here, I couldn’t help but feel there might be more behind the decision.

Even so, I stayed calm and accepted the news. Over the years, I’ve learned to handle change and adjust to new situations.

While working in Flight Preparation, I often went to the Ware Wash Section to get help with equipment supplies after processing. I have always admired how hard everyone works there, at all levels. I especially enjoyed the friendly chats and the warm smiles from the gentlemen working at the ware wash machines. They’ve always shown great teamwork and spirit, and I am looking forward to being part of that environment.

Of course, I will miss many things about my current role in Flight Preparation. It has been a place where I felt engaged and where I could make a difference. But I also see this change as a chance to learn new things, face new challenges, and continue doing what I enjoy most—helping people grow and become better leaders.

I am writing this with mixed emotions. I feel a bit sad, but also curious and ready for what’s ahead. I believe this new role will bring fresh opportunities for growth, and I will take it on with an open mind and the experience I’ve gained over the years.
