Up until today, I wasn't aware existing of an image format called Webp. I first found out from Jason at 10C when he posted that he has updated 10C for webp support, while he was trying to resolve the image upload issue I was facing on 10C, due to me not having renewed my subscription.

As usual anything with tech, I was curious to find out more about it. In response to one of my posts, another 10C member posted

Quite a lot of browsers and graphics apps support it. It reduces storage and bandwidth use and it reduces time to transmit images, especially useful in areas with disappointing connectivity.

I then wanted to check out how to convert images on my Photos app to webp format. From a simple google search, I came across a service convertio and it did the job.

Here is the outcome below - a photo taken from my iPhone converted .webp. Glad I learned something new!
